Elena Myasnikova is a Canadian artist who has exhibited both nationally and in the United States. Her works have become more philosophical with time, allowing for pronounced simplicity in composition. She tells a story through her works, though it is not always evident to the viewer. Myasnikova’s style combines elements of abstract, conceptional, impressionist and mixed media. She uses acrylic, pastel and resin in multiple layers to build depth in her creations. Elena Myasnikova started her growth in Art in her late teens. She holds BFA (from Russia) and Fashion Design diploma (from Canada). At the beginning of her professional career her Art studies focused primarily on Stage and Theater Costume Design. However Fine Art was always playing an important role in the Artist's life and Elena was mastering different painting / graphic techniques through her professional years. Elena's Art vary in styles, she expresses herself in expressionism, abstract and figurative detailed works with lavish embellishments. Currently Artist is residing in Calgary, Alberta, in the land of majestic Rockies.
