About the Artist ​ Anna Steinhouse-Kandelaki is a London based figurative artist born in Georgia. With a background in Analytics, Anna explores patterns and geometrical forms and investigates their relationship with the figure in space. With her interest in psychology, Anna’s passion lies in portraiture where she focuses on individual life stories and fuses her intellect and intuition to portray the essence of her subjects. She paints people that interest her and that she can relate to. She captures her interpretation of this through careful consideration of colour, composition and symbolic references. Her commissioned works are in private collections in America, Middle East and Georgia. Anna trained at the Slade, Heatherleys, the Royal Drawing school, Hampstead School of Art and the Art Academy. ​ ​ BIOGRAPHY AND ARTISTS STATEMENT ​ Anna was born in Tbilisi, Georgia and moved to England in her youth to complete her higher education, where she settled and worked for a number of years in the city. She let her creative passion flourish after giving up her banking career in 2013. Since, Anna studied at various British art schools including Heatherleys, Slade, Royal Drawing School and the Art Academy. Her commissioned works are in private collections in America, Georgia and Middle East. In 2017 her work was pre-selected by the Royal Society of Portrait Painters for the annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries.
