Sharon Way-Howard is a Vero Beach artist, working from her studio, WayPoint Landing. Sharon & her husband relocated here after 20+ years of showing her work in New York. Sharon is an elected artist member of the prestigious Salmagundi Club in NYC (where she served on the Board as 3rd Vice President and was the first women to be elected Chairman of the Art Committee). Sharon’s professional memberships include the North East Watercolor Society Signature Artist, Baltimore Watercolor Society Signature Artist, Missouri Watercolor Society Signature Artist, Rhode Island Watercolor Society Signature Artist, the Pastel Society of America, American Artists Professional League elected Fellow, Academic Artists elected artist, Audubon Artists elected artist, the American Society of Marine Artists & the Vero Beach Art Club. Sharon is also a COGAP artist (U. S. Coast Guard artist). Currently, the Coast Guard has 5 of her paintings in their permanent collection. Her work has received dozens of awards, has been juried into many national exhibitions, and is in private and corporate collections throughout the US and England. Recent juried exhibitions have included the ASMA South Regional Exhibition, ASMA Blue Water/Still Water Exhibition, Academic Artists, Paint the Parks, the American Artists Professional League, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe, Northeast Watercolor Society National Exhibition, Audubon Artists, The Baukus Museum “Best of the Best, the Ridgewood Art Institute in NJ, Houston Watercolor Society, the Missouri National Watercolor Exhibition, the Arts Center at Old Forge, Hudson Valley Art Association, New York State Wildlife Exhibition, Pastels Only on Cape Cod, Arkansas Pastel Society, Sierra Pastel Society, Baltimore Watercolor Society, and the Rhode Island Watercolor Society. Sharon teaches at her home studio in Vero Beach, is a respected juror for many art shows & has done demos for many art organizations throughout her career.
