Susan Brown's "California Dreamin'" was first presented by Sei l"Arte, an Italian arts organization, in a juried international 3D-like gallery exhibition through Kunztmatrix. The paintings are a series of Northern California locations that the artist, Susan Brown, lives in or near--from Santa Cruz, to San Francisco. As Susan Brown says, "I have found in my street scenes and similar "location" series of paintings a love of solving the geometry and ability to create a sense of place. The emotional attachment to home and familiar places is very important to me—when you see these places I hope you feel like you are there too! My aim is to evoke in the viewer the sense of joy and discovery I experience as I create and present paintings."
