Sobre el Artista

University professor in engineering that has no training in art. I was educated at the University of Florida and McGill University(Canada) in engineering. I have painted since age five, winning awards as a child. My painting expresses subconscious feelings or desires with everyday objects. I call my style expressionistic for want of a better description. Often the female face that is rather bland occupies centerstage with a detailed background that competes with the foreground. Flowers are used symbolically and allow me to go bolder in color to balance my otherwise subdued palette. I paint watercolors, acrylic and oil. My watercolors are thicker than conventional and my oil is thinner than traditional and acrylic frustrates me but improves my patience.
