Skottie O'Mahony is an accomplished artist with a career that spans design, publishing, and technology. Born in 1963 in Pittsburgh, he honed his skills at Penn State, studying a diverse range of disciplines including Design, Fine Art, Psychology, and Landscape Architecture. Skottie has had a successful career and has been recognized for his work through international and regional awards and features in art shows, publications, and television. Collectors value his art worldwide; his work can be found in private collections in several countries. Skottie currently resides in Austin, Texas, where he and his husband, together 36+ years have created Tanglewild Gardens, a botanical garden, and home, which serves as a canvas for his art and design. Skottie's art is deeply personal, exploring themes of cultural diversity, injustice, dreams, sexuality, and the dark and surreal. He uses a variety of techniques, from traditional to digital and even artificial intelligence, to bring his visions to life.
