The setting is a vast expanse of sand with a landscape of hills in the distance with imprecise shapes. A group of three people is in the foreground, two women and a man. They are walking barefoot and we can see the tracks left in the sand. Another group precedes them and all have some sort of carrying equipment. The pictorial technique of this painting is composed of acrylic, charcoal, black stone and red chalk with a partial enhancement of an orange glaze to accentuate the effect of heat and sand particles.
