Sobre el Artista

You can view my website here wix.com/andrewdanielsen/art I have always been drawn to color, design, and the environment. Over the years I have sought out different avenues to express this passion. My interest in art and the environment took a new turn by the end of high school. The landscape where I lived helped manifest a strong passion for art. By the end of high school I had several commissions and art awards under my belt, community recognition, experience in a wide array of art forms, and had a strong portfolio put together ready for art school. With the thought that I could continue my art without school, I ended up attending The University Of Vermont for Environmental Studies and Sustainable Living. I graduated from there in the sping of 2009 with a bachelors degree in science. After a 5 year hiatus from the art world I was ready to see where I could take my creative talent. After college I took an internship at a ancient living skills school in Vermont and then farmed in South America. When i returned from this trip I completed my forest creations series and started a new life direction. I was compelled to drive out to San Francisco California in the fall of 2010 to pursue my art. Since moving to the city I won the city wide contest to design the 2011 SF Carnaval poster, have since completed a variety of commissions, received an artists grant from The Endeavor For The Arts foundation, as well as shown my work at sping 2012 Open Studios in San Francisco and The Pale Horse in West Chester Pennsylvania. I currently am a member of the San Francisco Artist Guild, and show my work around the city at different venues. I also sell my work and prints of my work online at fineartamerica.com . In the near future I plan to show in the fall 2012 Open Studios and be accepted into a gallery. I currently am available and accepting new commissions.
