Sobre el Artista
All I ever wanted to be was an artist. The way my career started was an exercise in what some people call "fate", I think it’s just the way life works. At 14 I seriously broke my leg and was in a full body cast for almost 8 months. I always loved to draw and paint, so that was one of the ways that helped pass the hours.
One thing led to another and those drawings helped me to be accepted into the High School of Art & Design in NY. It was an incredible introduction into art. But the fate part is that 50 years later, the long-term effects of that same accident has now forced me into an early retirement, and has brought me full circle in a way that has a beautiful symmetry and I’m convinced that it couldn’t be accidental.
I'm very proud of the work I’ve created, it utilizes all of my experience and I can honestly say that it's a true reflection of me. I feel that at this point in my life, I'm just beginning. I've never felt such an intense surge of creativity, and that's saying a lot for me.
I love combining elements, creating a juxtaposition that makes you stop and think. As an artist, I can create my own visual world. It's a way to connect and share with others, to share ideas and thoughts that transcends words.
