Completed his studies at the Arts Institute of Modena and Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna since 1971, he holds more than 50 personal exhibitions of Art in Italy, France and United States of America. His painting but also sculpture and ceramics are characterized by a strong and very dynamic sign, by bold colors and natural themes always interpreted with great evocative synthesis. This dynamism of the sign has been appreciating the works of Pelillo both from lovers of windy and living nature to the lovers of many sports . The famous ‘Horse’ finds consensus to represent each time the freedom, the escape, the victory and has been linked to many events of the Ferrari Racing Team, enough to be included in the Enzo Ferrari’s book ‘’ Drivers what a people’ as well as being published by the Finarte Auction House in 1988. Many occasions involving Pelillo’s works including: Ferrari Vintage Raid 1981 , Ferrari days 1983, 50° Ferrari, Ferrari Class Meetings in Marostica and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Red Maranello Collection at Republica of San Marino, Pozzi Ferrari France Paris in 1983, International Ferrary Meet Monterey U.S.A. in 1984, Autocenter San Francisco U.S.A. in 1985, International Car Show New York in 1986 and many more. Pelillo, today proposes and elaborates the natural youth themes where animals, herbs, tangled branches and plants, want to emphasize the urgent need to recover healty and beautiful things of this world which risk disaster. The artist wants to make this ecologist contribution without dramatizing what is wrong, but highlighting what is beautiful; the bright color, the sensual sinous lines, the positive vitality of nature, a conscious and confident look to the future that could and should be ‘’fantastic’’ to be able to exist.
