Happy to be one of the finalists in the latest Artavita contest, with my work "sources". When I made the photo- and video-installation "Sources", I themed our depending in gas and energy, and how far it can be end - long before the war in Ukraine started. Many artiists feel the sense and spirit in the world long before it comes aware in gerneral society. My congratulations to the winner Cristina Jobs, with her four sculptures. ! which had as the prize free participation for up to four works in the Spectrum - Red Dot Miami art fair. There were 574 participating artists with 1623 works. I am happy to be one of the finalists. Many thanks to artavita!

Das Prinzip der Nachhaltigkeit, der wirtschaftliche Umgang mit Ressourcen und die Ökologie sind für die Kunstschaffende Renate Schweizer wichtige Themen. In der Ausstellung "Transformationen" werden hauptsächlich Fotografien ihrer außergewöhnlichen Fashion-Kleider, Hüte und Schmuckstücke gezeigt, die von der Jeonju Fashion Association seit mittlerweile 12 Jahren jährlich auf dem Laufsteg der Paper-Fashion-Shows in Südkorea präsentiert werden. „Renate Schweizer zählt zu den international tätigen ECO-Künstlerinnen der ersten Generation", so die Kunsthistorikerin Carola Muysers, Berlin 2017. Making art with old teabags is dealing with the question about judging the value of people, of human beings, of nature, animals, of work, natural sources, different kinds of thougths and minds...
