Roseline Young, handweaver, art quilter, silk painter, collage artist is a graduate of Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. Rose belongs to the Handweavers Guild of America, Studio Art Quilters Association, Art Quilters Unlimited, Alliance for the Arts, Visual Art Center, Cape Coral Art League, Cape Coral Art Studio. Rose owns and operates Roseline Weaving Studio in Cape Coral, Florida: www.roselineweaving.webs.com creating commission wallhangings, sculpture, and Fiber Art clothing. Her largest installation is a 8' x 24' woven and blueprinted sculptural wall art for the New Orleans International Airport. Her smallest is a roseate spoonbill ornament for the George W. Bush White House. Rose has an art quilt, "Passing the Torch" touring the United States and Great Britain after the International Quilt Festival in Houston, October 2014. Presently the SAQA exhibit, "Celebrating Silver" is in Chicago, Illinois. Roseline Young has successfully created and conducted notable community art projects in Louisiana and Florida, including sending 50+ art banners to Egypt for UNESCO's world exhibition of Art Miles Murals. Children and adults helped paint canvas "Banners for a Better Environment" focusing on the need for better stewardship of our planet. These banners are traveling worldwide, recently debuting in Paris, France. Rose believes Art speaks to all and has the power to change hearts and effect change. Rose teaches weaving and textile surface design at her studio, Rose Line Weaving and at the Alliance for the Arts, Ft. Myers, Florida.
