The Crystal Cave Stabile Objet d'art in the beginning Loren Adams carves 7 mahogany panel doors with a bandsaw, chisels, carving knives, and lots of elbow grease with sand paper. It would be almost 5 years before the first side would be completed and the Crystal Cave Stabile was unveiled about 2000 feet from where I had the first vision––on the patio of Lahaina Galleries location at the Kapalua Resort in Kaanapali on the island of Maui. Today in 2016 some 33 years later I have been busy making 6 of these exotic advanced multi-dimensional Art-works and I also have plans to make a total of twelve of them. My work on the stabiles as visual treasures continues at a slow yet deliberate pace––few things are this exciting to look at and for me, the Artist nothing is rewarding to create. Here you’ll have a glimpse of only 4 of these new Stabile objet d’art at various stages of development because after over 30 years only three of these are completed… yet it is time to share them with those who will take the time to discover their uniqueness. Sincerely, Loren D. Adams, Jr. In order of their appearance: 1. “The Crystal Cave Stabile” 7 ft. Objet d’art 2. The “Ode to Joy” Stabile Objet d’art 3. “Guardians of the Crystal Cave” porcelain Objet d’art 4. “The Transformation Suite” Stabile Objet d’art
