Sobre el Artista

As an artist, I seek to uncover the beauty in the overlooked and the ordinary. Working primarily with oil and acrylic on canvas, as well as charcoal and pastels, I aim to capture fleeting moments of nostalgia and the subtle details that bring places, objects, and memories to life. Whether it's the gentle stillness of a ship at bay, the energy of children at play, or the quiet glow of a sunrise viewed from a car window, my work invites viewers to pause, reflect, and appreciate the beauty hidden in everyday scenes.

I describe my style as disrupted realism, where recognizable forms emerge through intentional abstraction. I play with brushstrokes and line work, suggesting shapes rather than fully defining them, and encouraging the audience to complete the scene in their minds. This process creates a dialogue between the viewer and the artwork, offering space for personal interpretation.

Through landscapes, animals, objects, and figures, I explore themes of nostalgia, natural beauty, and connection to place—particularly inspired by my hometown. My art is an invitation: to take a second look, to appreciate the mundane, and to find moments of joy, stillness, or memory within the ordinary.
