I am a professional artist with over 55 years of exhibition experience.
Art, for me, has been a pathway of discovery. Not just about the creation of more "stuff" to hang on walls but a depiction of the energy that makes us all who we are.
Stylistically I am an expressionist, with the occasional touch of the surreal. My favorite artists include Djurer, Rembrandt, Turner, Rodin, Van Gough Dix, as well as Australian artists John Olsen and Ben Quilty.
While I usually use oil on canvas I also produced clay and metal sculptures, works in soft pastels, mixed medium and photoshopped art work.My main themes are wildlife, usually birds, and the human figure lately with a focus on musicians.
