Olakunle Ayoola, a prodigious arist and art
enthusiast from his childhood, was born and raised in
Oyo, within the Atba Local Government Area of Oyo
State, Nigeria, where he completed his elementary
and secondary educaton.
Olakunle's foray into the realm of art began informally
before he finished secondary school when he enrolled
as a trainee in Computer Engineering and Graphic
Designing at Sunny Computer Institute in Oyo town.
During his training, he met a Fine Art student who
always drawn and also sculpt with clay, this initial
exposure ignited a deep-seated passion for art within
him, propelling him to wholeheartedly pursue his
dream with unyielding determinaƟon. This
foundaƟonal experience marked the beginning of a
lifelong commitment to the arƟsƟc craŌ, laying the
groundwork for his future endeavors in the field.
Olakunle furthered his educaƟon in art at the then
Emmanuel Alayande College of EducaƟon, now
Emmanuel Alayande University of EducaƟon, Oyo,
graduaƟng as a PainƟng and Ceramics specialist in
2016.
He specializes in the visual representaton of the
intrinsic beauty of black heritage and the multifaceted
nature of black identity through painƟng. His work
explores the richness and complexites of the black
experience, shedding light on the diverse facets that
contribute to the unique and vibrant culture of the
black community. Through his art, he aims to celebrate
and honor the heritage and identty of black
individuals while also provoking thought and
promptng conversations about the societal
perceptions and challenges faced by this community
