About The Artist
Denise Valentino began drawing, painting, and creating at a very young age, and from those early years onward, her love for art would grow exponentially.
A prolific artist with upwards of two hundred finished creations, Ms. Valentino feels an inextricable tie to her work. The striking beauty of the natural world ignites a passion within Valentino to produce her stunning images. Her sources of inspiration are as varied as they are diverse: Michelangelo and DaVinci are just as influential to her as Dali and Picasso. To view the full array of Valentino’s work is to encounter an arresting whirlwind of Classicism with Cubism, Cubism alongside Impressionism, Impressionism next to Surrealism. Every one of her paintings effortlessly incorporates organic elements—think Monet with jungle cats; O’Keefe with rare minerals; Van Gogh with water & fire.
Valentino honed her technical skills at schools such as Pratt Institute, FIT, Old Westbury, and the University of Polimoda in Florence, Italy. She cites her time in Europe as being the most impactful to her as an artist. Valentino ascertained both a BA of Fine Art and an AS in Jewelry Design, and continues to practice the latter in addition to her paintings. She also works with sculpting, photography, computer graphics, and other design media.
