This gives direction to the visual problem solving , which could take unexpected paths. I work with great affection for the solutions that come about through judgement as well as accepting those that arrive as gifts. It’s a balance between intent and leaving space for a little magic. This way the work can exceed, and go beyond, the original intent, and the painting starts to “give back”, opening for new solutions, unlimited by preconceived notions, opened to dialogue in the process.
