About The Artist
I am a Venezuelan - Spanish and Canadian artist, currently living and working in Canada. my paintings are centred around food, sweet, toys or objects defined how Contemporary Still Life, using a photorealist technique and a neutral background.
I paint to preserve the memories and the beauty found in simplicity, and to preserve those beautiful moments that we collect throughout life.
I have explored different styles before, but the essence of my pieces has always been colourful and simple.
As an architect I worked for more than 25 years, but I have been focused on art full time for more than a decade.
In my early career as an artist, I took classes with respected Latin American Artists, such as Alirio Oramas and Alirio Rodriguez at Cristobal Rojas Art School (Caracas, Venezuela), and in my current creative stage I have been self-taught, always seeking to improve my techniques and my style.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in architecture from USB (Venezuela) and Courses of PhD from Universidad Polytechnic de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain) where my interdisciplinary experience lends itself to projects innovative in the Design and Contemporary Art.
