About The Artist
Ashton Lally is a contemporary artist from Wynnewood, PA, who focuses on the manipulation of oil and acrylic colors and texture in each of her paintings. She believes in creating images that transcend the viewer into a place of peace and beauty, allowing one to see each piece with their own interpretation.
In high school, Ashton started her training in art, at The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, Pa, where students were allowed to major in art. With her innate sense of understanding colors and successes she started to achieve in art, she decided to continue her training and fine tune her skills by majoring in Studio Arts, with a focus in painting, at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Along with being a Studio Arts major, Ashton rowed on the crew team, was a Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority sister and mentored intercity Hartford, middle school students. Fall semester of her junior year, Ashton got the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, taking classes in painting and drawing, and learning about art restoration. She loves to travel, collecting inspiration internationally from places shes visited, such as Florence, Cape Town, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Paris, St. Tropez, Nice, Eze, Santa Margherita and Santorini.
After graduating in 2008, she became a Buyer for Anthroplogie for six years in Philadelphia, PA, working on purchasing and designing knits, sweaters, handbags, tech items, belts and travel assortments. After Philadelphia, she moved to Boston, MA for two years with her husband and became a Buyer for J.Jill where she was in charge of their Pure Jill department. She has now settled down in Avon, CT with her husband, two sons, bichon/yorkie and Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs.
