‘Circle of Friends’ is a photorealistic pencil on paper artwork; which depicts abstract paint forms of five individuals with opened arms. This drawing is inspired by the thought on how humans are stronger as they unite with other human beings. It also represents human's fundamental need of relationship, connection, and social interactions. The fluidity of paint; which enables it to form limitless shape is well associated with the thought of how human interaction, love, and relationship can be manifested in diverse and limitless form. The color red is chosen as a representative of boldness, compassion, and strength; as humans become stronger as they unite compassionately. The abstract paint form allows viewers to come up with their own interpretation on what the drawing is all about. It is a fun piece of contemporary art, capable of initiating discussion amongst viewers.
