About The Artist
ABOUT MARIE-CLAUDE GOULET
She paints fanciful birds and animals, women and flowers, all created directly from her imagination. Marie-Claude Goulet is a self-taught canadian artist who began her artistic journey a few years ago, at the age of 49 (she is now 54), when the sudden onset of persistent migraines lead her to reach for a paint brush. Until then, she had been a lawyer for over 25 years.
As a child and as a young adult, she received many prizes for her writing abilities, and she loved inventing children's tales, featuring animals. It was through painting that she reconnected with her creative nature. She now tells stories through the unique and different personalities of her distinctive creatures, who star in her artworks.
She was quickly represented by an art gallery in her hometown, Rimouski (QC, CAN), and soon after, in Galerie Québec Art art gallery, in the heart of Old Quebec, alongside established Canadian artists. Her artworks are part of private collections across North America. Marie-Claude Goulet already has a few solo exhibitions to her credit.
