About The Artist

Kathryn Elisabeth Lovejoy (1967) - AUSTRALIA Kathryn is Australian and was born in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. In her early years, she had a strong influence of tribal artifacts from the Solomon Islands, Fiji Islands, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and also Japan, which she believes has influenced her style of art. ‘I find inspiration in the work of other artists, music and the Australian bush. My imagination is sparked by what I see in nature. I tell stories with my art using the relationship and contrasts between shapes and colour.
