About The Artist

The artist completed the primary and secondary school education in Trabzon and graduated from Art Teaching Graphic Department of Fatih Education Faculty of Karadeniz Technical University in 1995. She started her teaching profession in Rize in the same year. She focused her attention on batik works she had started during university period. After she worked for one year in Trabzon Private Alparslan college in 1996, she opened her own art studio and has trained students in fields of "batik, marbling and oil painting". Having art pieces in private collections and galleries the artist has continued her art life with personal and group exhibitions. She is a member of Association of Black Sea Plastic Arts and Female Artists Platform "SANKAD-P". I define my works as paintings inspiring peace and love even momentarily when they are watched. I tried to add pictural tastes and senses in my works by using possibilities of batik technique. My aim is to melt this technique in the painting and transfer it to another dimension with color, stain and line tastes just like in painting art. I love harmonious movements of lines. I believe that I could connotate it with wax batik technique. My concern is to express different tastes and colors of the city, where I live, using a poetic language.
