About The Artist

Rick Warren is an artist currently based in Moscow Mills, MO, who specializes in realism. His primary focus is on human and animal portraits in all mediums, and secondarily, landscapes and any other drawings or paintings a client may request. He first started his artistic journey even before kindergarten, then won his first award in 2d grade, coming in 1st place statewide with his rendition of a portrait of Santa Claus. Since then, he has created a multitude of drawings, mostly using pencil and charcoal mediums. Most recently, he has moved to acrylics, oils, and more notably pastels, in his renderings of many people and animals, all the while working to improve upon his skills. He is selftaught, never attending an art school or community classes. While still regarding himself as an amateur artist, and his work in the field currently remaining a hobby, he has never actually worked within the profession itself, although he does aspire to do so in the future. About half of his portraits are commissioned by others, and the other half used as training to become more proficient with all mediums.
