Sharbat is my portrait of the famous Afghan Girl whose picture was taken by Steve McCurry. It id the central painting of this series and is the only hyperrealistic one because I could have not portrayed her in any other way as she has become a symbol of women and children facing war and so her portrait needed to be as real as possibile. Acrylic/airbrush on canvas, 50x70.
