About The Artist


Breann Ritchie was born in Grimsby, Ontario on October 4th, 1988. In November 2011, she graduated from the Art and Art History specialist program at the University of Toronto, joint with Sheridan Institute with an Honors Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Studio Arts. Breann has shown work at various galleries in the greater Toronto area including UTAC, Hamilton Artists Inc. and Blackwood Gallery. In 2011, Breann received honorary mention in the category of Emerging Visual Arts at the MARTY Awards in Mississauga. She has also received two awards from the Chancellor's office at the University of Toronto for excellence in Visual Arts. In her last year at UofT, Breann won a scholarship to study in Siena, Italy for the remainder of her degree. Breann works extensively with the arts community by acting as a jury member for public art installations, board member at the Hamilton Artists Inc. and is currently Chair of the Hamilton Arts Council's Visual Arts Committee. Breann is now working for Progressive Fine Art and Crescent Hill Gallery as Registrar and Art Consultant for the greater Toronto area's major collectors.
