Born in Trinidad and Tobago. Migrated to New York in 1968, drafted into the United States Army in 1969 where I served four years as a Warrant Officer/Helicopter Pilot with a tour of duty in Vietnam. After the army I enrolled at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York where I obtained a Bachelor on Fine Arts Degree. Soon after graduation I was hired by WNBC-TV in New York City as a graphic artist. At WNBC-TV I worked my way up to become Art Director at the station. I spent all my professional career in television as a graphic artist/animator working at NBC New York, CBS-New York and finally at the TV show Inside Edition where I retired in 2012. During my career in television I won an Emmy Award for outstanding craft, awards from the Art Directors Club of New York and Creativity Awards. Along with my television career I also pursued a fine arts career having exhibitions in Trinidad, Montreal and several shows in New York City. In 1992 I took a break from television and live in Paris, France working as a pastry chef at the Ritz Hotel for six months, returning to my television career later that year.
