About The Artist
Judy Rogers was born in Los Angeles and was lovingly called Judinka by her mother and now by all her friends. She has been an artist all her life. Her Russian mother was an artist and taught her to see the beauty in all things, especially in nature. Judinka has brought that sensibility to her artwork. Her use of color is reminiscent of old school variations on light and design. In her youth she studied at the famous Barnsdall Art Center in Hollywood, studying painting and ceramics. Judinka is disciplined and her training has expressed itself over and again in her landscapes and still life pieces. She has been exhibiting in Los Angeles for over 10 years. She spends most of her time on her two passions: painting and gardening and enjoying the beauty in life.
