About The Artist


Born in Toyama Prefecture in 1948, Yoshie Suzu is a public lecturer on etagami (illustration letters). Once a member of the Japan Etegami Association. Suzu was inspired by Shiko Munakata and Van Gogh, and studied almost completely on her own. She uses an unrestrained style combined with colors to create conpositions with flowers and a Major League Baseball player Hideki Matsui.
