About The Artist
Shahen Z is a painter and sculptor who lives and works in Belmont, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston.
He calls his painting style abstract realism of time, which is an abstract impression of nature, human forms and lifestyles.
His vibrantly colored art reflects his vision of life—positive energy radiatees from his works, transmitting
his emotions and experiences into the hearts of his audience. Shahen paints in oil, acrylic, and mixed media, and uses bronze
and other metals in combination to create his sculptures. He has shown his work throughout the United States since 1980.
abstract realism
“ Infusion of two distinct styles of art: abstract and realistic. When you combine these two concepts,
you get a new style of art that attempts to depict the emotions behind a particular real-life object.”

Jackson Pollock, Franz Kline and William de Kooning are a few leaders of the abstract realism movement.
