The painting was inspired by the holiday of Passover. During Passover 2017 I had the image come to mind while carrying out a practice in Judaism called counting the Omer. Counting the 49 days between the holidays of Passover and Shavuot- Counting Each day represents spiritual preparation and anticipation for the giving of the Torah which was given by God on Mount Sinai
