About The Artist

Heather Barry was born and raised in the California San Francisco bay area. Daughter of a lifelong artist Heather was, at a very early age, exposed to and practiced many disciplines of art. Pulling inspiration from the studies of her artistic predecessors, she has built a career as an artist. Her passion lies in surreal-expressionism. During a recent interview, Heather explained that she refuses to be defined by any one label. “True artists, will develop an identity, however they will never stop growing and honing their skills, always open to change. Emotion is my true brush. I start with a blank mind and a blank canvas. My focus color is the most difficult part; requiring a color-emotion connection at the moment of conception. I often paint with my fingers so there is nothing between me and the paint. Nothing forced. I am guided by emotion but paint what I sense.
