“Grasping the Land”

This Basque family homestead in northeast Montana stood the test of time through many extreme winters. It finally crushed in within weeks of this painting! The hardworking family raised sheep on the surrounding hillsides and sheared them in that little barn to the left of the home. Memories of the smells of baking breads remain forever ingrained in my mind. (48”x48” oil on Baltic birch) $6800
