About The Artist

Chantal Derderian-Christol is a very active artist on the International Contemporary Art scene. She lives and works in Montpellier. She exhibits her creations, modern abstract painting in large formats, at various International Contemporary Art fairs across France and Europe. Creation since 2016 of monumental steel sculptures over 270 cm in height that can reach over 300 cm in height. (corten or powder coated steel) She has exhibited her creations in France and Europe since 2002: Germany - Luxembourg - Italy - Belgium - Monaco - SWITZERLAND and in the United States since 2018 (NEW YORK, MIAMI). Exhibition of monumental sculptures at the Village of GRIMAUD from May 24, 2019 to OCTOBER 24, 2019 then, from OCTOBER 24, 2019: GOLF UP de GRIMAUD where they remained. It is the revealer of all the contained passion, the emotion felt at random at the turning points of life to burst with delight at the whim of its impulse without hindrance or imposed rules. It allows those who see it to project themselves through their personality into an imaginary universe or, on the contrary, to choose a concrete island, finding here or there a material representation that reassures them. She is made to become hers by orienting her according to her mood or her desires, according to where she will adapt to bring her note of life and personality: she represents freedom.
