About The Artist

The cinematographic quality and extreme weather of the Mojave, Sonoran and Chihuahuan desert have inspired the collection Desert Diary. The classic shapes of midcentury architecture, the distinctive signage; it often feels familiar, like a place you know, but have only seen in a movie. I have travelled these deserts for many years, and no road trip or scenery ever feel the same because of the constantly changing light and shapes of the landscape; the deserted architecture and signs left behind are like a reminder of transience. These images are the result of my travels through the American desert.
