The subject of my work is urban scenes, people, arquitecture and landscapes, the preferred techniques being watercolour, mixed media and acrylic painting. The colour palette consists of strong colours and contrasts are created by the clash of primary and secondary colours of different intensities. The possibilities of variation and expression of colours are manifold. In my paintings, I am not concerned with an exact reproduction of what I see, but rather with using colour and form to reduce concreteness to a minimum, whereby colour is readily detached from its generally associated meaning. Clearly defined forms are combined with less defined ones. For me the concreteness is not only the concrete appearance, but I leave its perception up to the viewer.
