My Tribute to Jack Nicholson

Tribute to Jack Nicholson, mixed media 72"x48"x2"on 13oz canvas. I worked with Jack Nicolson along with Herb Ritts for the Batman movie poster and marketing in London at The Pinewood studios. I was already a big fan of his acting in films such as Easy Rider, China Town, The Shining and One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest. After meeting Nicolson on several occasions socially and for work it ust confirmed to me what an inspirational and charismatic man he truly is. His ability to charm everyone with his incredible wit, Nicolson stands out as one of the most talented actors of our time. From his gritty films to his tender portrayals he stayed true to his passionate love of acting. I hoped to capture Nicolson’s vibrant nature with imagery, quotes and an energetic usage of color. He has inspired with his immense body of work and his ability to treat all equally. The fact he remembered my name a year after working with him was a bonus for me. Each piece in my "tribute Collection"is a representation of a feeling or action that i experienced, that's allowed me to to pursue my dreams and escape a life that no longer served me. This Collection has been created to inspire others to take action where they feel they need too. Every piece has quotes from the artist i painted that resonate and it's closer to my heart, and wanted to share it with an audience so that they can experience, relate and make a difference in their life as it did in mine.
