About The Artist

I have always had an appreciation for photography especially black and white images. However, I probably would never have picked up a camera if it were not for my nephew. I ventured into photography in 2013 when he refused to do his high school senior yearbook portraits unless I photographed him. My background is in graphic design. I had no previous photography experience yet, he was convinced that I could do it. He said: “You can do it! I have faith in you. I’m telling you, you’ve got this auntie.” I did not want to disappoint my nephew so I did some research on portrait shooting, borrowed a co-worker’s camera, took him to a local park and captured his portraits. The rest as they say is history... In 2018, I began my career as a fine artist under the kind, patient and loving expert tutelage of Martha Tepper Takayama (affectionately known as my "fine art mom") of Tepper Takayama Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts. With Martha's guidance, my fine art photographs have been featured in several publications and in numerous art shows, contests, and exhibitions throughout the United States and around the world.
