Mojigangas II

It is a local custom for paper mache puppets on stilts to pour tequila into people's mouths during the "The Callejoneada," a San Miguel street wedding, as part of its charming culture as participants parade around the square, with a string necklace hold tequila shots, while hanging out with donkeys and a mariachi band. This photographer was roped in to join in the festivities, ultimately feeling more for the wear. San Miguel de Allende, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is nestled in the central mountains of Mexico. Distinguished by its colonial architecture and elegant atmosphere, San Miguel's artistic community is world class - bustling with artists, galleries, and collectors.
