About The Artist

Silvana LaCreta Ravena is a Brazilian-born artist who lives and works in Minneapolis, MN. She was educated as a psychologists and also holds degrees in art therapy, art history and a master in fine arts. she has exhibited widely in the US, Europe and Brazil, her art has been featured in art publications and TV art shows in the US and Europe. She has gallery representation in the US and Brazil, and her works are owned by private collectors in the US, Brazil and Europe. Silvana creates series of large abstract paintings in which she explores themes related to the connections of art and psychology. She mostly works in oil, resin and encaustic. Silvana also creates wearable art collections of jewelry with the leftover fragments of her encaustic sculptural artworks encased in resin and metal, translating her vision of confidence-inspiring beauty.
