Oil on linen 12x16 inches Buttermilk Bend is a gravel road that leads to a small farm in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of Northern California. I enjoy painting here tremendously, and when I have the privilege to do so, feel humbled and inspired by its ruggedness, light, and feeling of stillness in the air.
