About The Artist
Born in Redcliffe, Queensland, Megan studied art at Griffith University - Seven Hills, choosing to major in Printmaking and minor in Ceramics. She has participated in 5 group exhibitions in Australia and most recently in New York. She has had one solo exhibition in Spain.
In 1994 she completed an Advanced Certificate in Graphic Design at a private design school and commenced a career as a Graphic Designer where she began working in the advertising industry. Throughout her career Megan has continued to be creative, producing a large creative collection.
In May of 2010 Megan had a boutique solo exhibition in Madrid. This featured eight paintings reflecting contemporary, stylistic symbolism of her travels. Megan also documented her spanish journey through an eclectic mix of interesting photographs. In 2011 the energetic, expressive Spanish Series developed with impressions of flamenco dancers, bull fighting and spanish culture.
Megan was recently represented by Agora Gallery NYC (Ausust 2014 - Feb 2016) and participated in a group exhibition titled Out From Down Under & Beyond - Fine Art from Australia & New Zealand, in May of 2015, where 5 paintings from her spanish series where on display.
She has received Certificates of Excellence from Artavita and has had offers to exhibit in London, Europe and America.
