About The Artist

My name is Janette Newman, I am an artist, I was taught at a very early age by my grandfather to draw and from then on my styles evolved. I have had art lessons with many teachers, and attended the Dubbo TAFE college doing life drawing for a while. I love to paint in many styles experimenting with modern and traditional and often surprise myself with the outcome. I enjoy creating new and wondrous things. I have been in the finals of the Gallipoli Club Sydney's art competition and have had one of my images made into a Christmas Card for the Gallipoli Club London. I had an exhibition in New York with the Agora Gallery and attended the opening, which was absolutely wonderful. I have won prizes in the waste to art competitions and first prizes in many shows. I love painting animals, especially horses and dogs. After winning a few of the local shows I was then made the Judge, I think this was to get me out of the shows but I enjoyed this avenue as well. I have had many of my paintings and painting instructions published in magazines and enjoy everything I do.
