Last Supper in Pompeii. 32”x 40”. 1999.Oil on canvas. When Mt. Vesuvius erupted nineteen hundred years ago, the nearby cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum were wiped out. Yet, miraculously, the ashes that rained down on these cities also preserved them like flies in amber. Inside the remains of a Temple, on the table, is Silver Patera as commemorative sculpture, Gold Lamp as memory of the lost lives, And Bowl of Fruit as interrupted life. Sea creatures are falling from the sky. “Flying Lost Town”-artist’s signature, is a witness in the back ground.Supper in
