About The Artist

Oil painter Fujio Uno was born in Aichi Prefecture in 1927 and his works include maiko, samurai, and folklore themes. Having studied and mastered wash painting, Uno reveals a unique style through distinctive coloring. Maintaining his position at the forefront of Japanese art, Uno has opened painting schools in various areas and focuses his energy on teaching.
