About The Artist

I am a self taught artist. I have been participating in various drawing/painting and other fine arts competitions from an early age. Over the years i have turned my inclination into a skill. The strength of which can be deduced from the fact that i see my artistic pursuits-largely my sketches - as my most preferred and best form of expressions. My work is about my dreams, anxieties,my experiences of the city, its dwellers and urban spaces.I view my intervention to that of a storyteller: whose tales are varied but from our midst. I try to talk about human mind, its dilemma and the emptiness that often lingers around busy and crowded lives and spaces. I work with canvas, paper, ply and acrylic. I sketch on paper and canvas with charcoal and dry pastels.Sketches for the prime centre of my work:and charcoal sketching is my most succinct medium. My work is characterised by strong brush strokes and layered backgrounds and my sketches exhibit both still life and figures.
