Seaside

0.0 x 0.0

Why do the sky and sea have different gradients of blue? One is light, another one is dark. In the childhood many were curious about it. Then they just got used to this color difference and took it for granted. 200 years ago scientists wanted to know why is this happening? As, if you’ll fill the glass with a little bit of water, it will be transparent, like the air we breathe. And yet, “why”? white light of the Sun refracts and falls into 7 colors. Blue color dissipates most of all, so the sky is blue. The sea absorbs and reflects the color of the sky, so it is blue as well. The painting “Seaside” shows how the forces of nature work altogether. And this harmony is what makes it the most beautiful part of our world. The artwork “Seaside” by Natalia Marinych (100 x 60 cm, 39.3” x 23.6”, oil on canvas, 2016).
