About The Artist

My name is Parvinder Bansal. I was born in Nairobi, Kenya, but moved to UK when I was 4 years old. When I was about 1 year old while in Kenya. I suffered with Acute Chest infection and was kept quarantine in hospital. Doctors treated me with streptomycin which was unfortunately overdosed due to severe chest infection. I got well but when I was 2 years old, I was diagnosed with lateral sensory hear loss causing profound deafness. I was given hearing aids which lead to development of some speech. Currently I communicate using lip reading and British sign Language. After I moved to UK my hearing is being assessed after a year or so. I completed my Primary school and secondary school education in Coventry (UK) and completed Diploma in Art & Design from well known Henley College in Coventry. After college. I started Honours Degree in Art & Design from Coventry University but had to drop out after one year because of non availability of full time interpreter and it was difficult for me to concentrate both on to interpreter and lecturer. I have keen interest in Art work and during my Diploma I visited places of Art in London, Scotland, Paris and Madrid etc. My paintings are a collection of Modern Art, Contemporary Art and Abstract Art. I have donated some of my art work to Deaf Institutions and donated World Peace Painting to UN. I tried to sell my work through websites, exhibitions and Auctions. I think Auction is best option. At the moment I am not on website because it was not renewed.
