20" high x 14" wide pastel I'm from Chicago and had never seen Northern California until 1984. When I finally got there I was amazed at the beauty of the region and how different it looked from Southern California. This beauty stayed in my mind until I was able to translate it with my pastels into this painting. No need to travel the world for gorgeous scenery, it's right here in the U.S.
